PRESS RELEASE

Seattle Cruise Line Expands Winter Operations with a "Surprisingly Memorable, Surprisingly Affordable" Holiday Catamaran Charters

Sepember 25, 2002

Seattle, WA. - Seattle-based Glacier Bay Cruiseline announced today that it will begin offering December holiday charters aimed at corporate clients in Seattle, Olympia, Bellingham and all points in between. Prices for the charters are estimated at 20 - 25% below comparable holiday events with additional incentives for reservations made prior to October 25, 2002.

"Glacier Bay Cruiseline has successfully operated small cruise ships and catamaran sightseeing vessels during Alaska's summer months, for years. During the winter months the fleet just sat idle in Seattle. When an opportunity presented itself for a couple of charters, we sensed the demand and saw an opportunity …" says Brian McKiernan, Director of Marketing, Sales & Reservations for the Line. "One key point of distinction is that we are aggressively pricing these charters so that small and medium sized companies can afford to host a memorable holiday event. When reservations are made prior to October 25 we will give an extra hour at no extra charge…about a $450 incentive for planning in advance.

Glacier Bay Cruiseline offers a fleet of three modern catamaran vessels accommodating 60 to 215 passengers, perfectly suited for most corporate functions. "Chances are we have the right-sized vessel for most corporate holiday parties," states McKiernan. "Since we have a range of vessels starting at just 60 passengers, I think we fill an important niche for a smaller company that otherwise could not afford a full boat charter. We strive to make the event planning easier by selecting our own catering companies to provide the food and offering complete beverage and bar service-it really comes down to the 'one phone call does it all.' I think the value for the location cannot be matched, especially with so many companies on a tighter year-end budget than in previous years."

The space-efficient catamaran fleet is considered the most stable passenger platform around and therefore creates a perfect combination of space and ride. "What's more, our flexible charter program allows us to offer event services to corporations no matter where they are based in Puget Sound," adds McKiernan.
