Glacier Viewing If you have come to Alaska to view glacier, we won't let you go home disappointed. Join us on the only scheduled day tour boat in Glacier Bay National Park. Spend a full day exploring this icy wonderland aboard our high-speed catamaran departing each morning from the Glacier Bay Lodge. You are accompanied by a National Park Service Ranger to provide narration on the wildlife and history of the Park. 7:30 a.m. departures daily through September 13, 2003. Tour includes lunch, complimentary beverage service and cruise. $159.00 per person. Children 12 years old and younger, $78.25.
Guides Kayaking Excursions Join a small group of fellow explorers on a guided paddle in the waters of Bartlett Cove and the nearby Beardslee Islands. Guides teach you the basics of sea kayaking in your stable 2-person boat. Tour includes all gear, kayak and instruction, and lunch. Rain gear is not provided, but is available for purchase at the Lodge. Daily departures
Independent Kayak Rental Paddle for a couple of hours through secluded inlets surrounded by the coastal mountain range. Rentals include hard-shell double sea kayaks with spray skirts, life vests, paddles, floatation bags and basic instruction. A short safety presentation is provided. Kayaks can also be rented for longer, independent, self-guided trips. Hourly or full-day rentals
Flightseeing Tour View the Brady Icefield, the snow-capped peaks of the Fairweather Range and the massive alpine and tidewater Glaciers. Be sure to bring your camera to photograph the picturesque fjords, bays and alpine lakes. Weather permitting, flightseeing tours can be arranged at the Lodge tour desk. Daily departures
Bicycling Mountain biking is a great way to learn more about the area surrounding Glacier Bay National Park. Visit the nearby historic town of Gustavus, approximately 9 miles from the Lodge. Rentals are available at the Lodge tour desk. Half and full day rentals
Golfing The Mt. Fairweather Golf Course is a new course owned and operated by local homesteaders in nearby Gustavus. Tee times and transfers can be arranged at the Lodge tour desk. Club rentals are available at the course. Excursions daily
Fishing Pole Rentals Try your luck from the boat dock of Bartlett Cove or hike to the nearby Bartlett River. Please inquire at the front desk at the Lodge. Half and full-day rentals
